MaRS – Startup Library

When clients come to iF, we work together to determine which resources we can provide to help them start, grow, and succeed.  Some are looking for funding, connections for potential partners or their first client, and some resources may include information to help them develop a great strategy or business plan. Market Intelligence is an example of a program to help entrepreneurs find information on market sizes, competition, and other secondary resources to help identify their target market. They have a great team of analysts that help us gather information specific to our entrepreneurs and their businesses however the turnaround time on a Market Intelligence request could take weeks and some entrepreneurs need that information as soon as possible. One fantastic resource that MaRS put out is the Startup Library so everyone can access information quickly and easily. It is a curated collection of resources that help entrepreneurs answer common market-research questions and help understand the startup ecosystem. There is information on how to identify competitors, Canadian and US Market data, as well as information about different Accelerators and funding opportunities. I’ve used this resource to help our entrepreneurs and I hope you will take some time and use this valuable resource yourself.

For more information, I’d recommend checking out the MaRS Startup Library located here.
